My Beanstalk Story
My first project with Beanstalk was to lead a group of Harvard students to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to help design a school that would help prepare Native American students to successfully adapt to life at colleges off the reservation (one of the design subsequently won a design national design award.) In 2008 Beanstalk helped High Plains Environmental Center launch our “Giving Garden” which engaged 174 volunteers (mostly children and young adults) contributing over 1400 hours to grow 13,000 pounds of food for the Loveland Food Bank in it’s first year.
My Current Bio below - Jim Tolstrup is the Executive Director of the High Plains Environmental Center in Loveland, CO.
